Lead Artist of Apple of My Eye, Jacquelin Abdelmalek, (also known as Jacky or Jellaybeen!) is an Egyptian American Makeup Artist based in the NYC Metropolitan Area, USA. Born and raised in New Jersey— She is your homegirl seeking to bring the beauty you already have from within, out. From the Esteé Lauder counter to beauty entrepreneur & independent consultant, Jacky comes to you with extensive experience spanning across the beauty realm: creative fashion shoots to beautiful and classy weddings, she is blessed to have been doing what she loves for over 10 years. Her absolute favorite thing about being a part of your special event is connecting with you as her client + witnessing that initial “gasp” and flush of joy when done creating.
Her roots in artistry really stem from a love for the arts. Initially taking an interest in working only in black + white mediums, she began creating large charcoal drawings and submitting them for fun at local art galleries. A few years later with much encouragement from a childhood makeup artist friend, she began to explore makeup & the rest is history. In addition to the arts, she is educated as an engineer in the biotech industry and so drawing from her technical skills there, she brings precision ultimately delivering clean, gorgeous looks.
She has always had an eye for beauty since being a young girl, seeing it in the simplest of things and people. Traveling extensively all over the globe — visiting Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Namibia, South Africa, Mexico, The Caribbean Islands, Iceland, Brazil and much more gathering memories of the most beautiful of places and people to stay inspired.
